Exciting times! I am going to be on my very first literary panels at Conflux 10. Conflux is a national speculative fiction convention held in Canberra every year.
I’ll be a panellist at:
Saturday 4th October – 11am – Journeys as Source Material
How real life travels can provide inspiration for realistic and fantastic settings and culture. As a travel photographer and writer, travel has heavily influenced my fiction and I’m excited to be talking about it. Panellists: Jane Rawson, Richard Harland, Aiden Doyle
Sunday 5th October – 3:30pm – Publicity and Marketing Panel
Promotion has become increasingly important in today’s publishing industry. This will be extremely useful for you if you’re looking to market your book. I’m really looking forward to how my professional experience can help others develop marketing plans. Panellists: Alan Baxter, Phillip Berrie, Ingrid Jonach
Let me know if you’re coming, especially if you’re from Melbourne. I love meeting new writers so make sure you come and say hi!
By the way, the amazing Conflux poster is designed by Shauna O’Meara. Isn’t it beautiful?
